This weekend was great! Normal weekends consist of a few more training hours per day followed by many hours studying. Next Thursday I will be heading to New York for an Architecture class trip and fortunately the professors thought we should have a relaxed weekend. This = more time to be lazy and not worry about classes.
Saturday started with a swim technique session that was very helpful. Its those little things that can save the most time. For me, it is a little thing my left hand does when I enter. It likes to point to the left side of the pool... every time! After a little constructive criticism my new goal is to take care of it once and for all!
After lunch we headed to Kyle's Bikes for a spin session. He has a really cool set up with elite trainers and a projector. Its amazing how competitive you get when there is a little dot that says who is winning. All of the sudden you have to be the dot in front and as far in front as possible. Mixed in with very hard low cadence intervals we had the pleasure of getting off the bike and doing strength work! Squats, mountain climbers and lunges make the legs a little weak. (Thanks again Kyle for letting us use your spin room!)
Sunday (Valentines day!) Headed to Lied Recreation center for form work with coach Liz. Again, it is the little things that count here. Arms up or else all your energy heads straight to the ground! (Something I had never thought about).
The rest of the day was spent with my girlfriend, Tami, who I totally dominated at Sequence. (If you ask her about it she will give you a different answer. She might be right)
Spring needs to get here asap! too much snow in the midwest.
You know I always win!
